The education department has started preparing for the counselling of 6600 employed teachers who have passed the competency test in Gopalganj district. The counselling of the competency pass teachers will be done in a phased manner. For this, Establishment DPO Jamaluddin has issued a formal format of the subject wise sanctioned strength, working strength and vacant posts and class wise enrolled students from all the primary, secondary and higher secondary schools and has asked all the block education officers of the district to provide the complete details within three days.
The DPO has asked to provide these details to the District Education Department in hard copy along with e-mail. Six thousand six hundred teachers have passed the competency test. After counseling, all of them are going to become special teachers after joining the new school.
In the application, options of three districts were taken from these teachers
These teachers were given options of three districts while filling the form for competency test. These teachers have been allotted districts on the basis of marks obtained in competency test and reservation. These teachers will become special teachers from the date of school allocation and joining and they will also get the status of state employee. After becoming state employee, all the competency pass teachers will start getting all the facilities like regular teachers.
Counseling was delayed due to the code of conduct imposed during the Lok Sabha elections
There were preparations for counselling of the employed teachers who had passed the competency test during the Lok Sabha elections. But, in view of the model election code of conduct, the education department had sought permission from the state election office for counselling. But, permission for counselling was not granted. Along with this, it was decided that counselling would be done after the end of the code of conduct. In the counselling, the certificates and documents of the employed teachers have to be verified, which were given by them while filling the online form for the competency test.
Counselling schedule will be released soon
DPO informed that on Tuesday Director of Secondary Education Sunny Sinha directed district education officers of all districts to provide details of vacancies of teachers school wise by the prescribed date. In the light of the letter, the education department will soon issue schedule regarding counselling of employed teachers who have passed the competency. For this the department has finalised the schedule. DPO informed that for this the department has issued a format to all block education officers through e-mail and in hard copy in which the school wise, subject wise sanctioned force, working force and number of vacant posts and class group wise number of enrolled students for classes 1st to 5th, class 6th to 8th, class 9th to 10th and class 11th to 12th have to be filled in and sent to the education department.
